Be warned! Govt bans 156 drugs used as painkillers and multivitamins in fever-cold

Govt bans 156 popular fixed-dose combination drugs: 

The central government has banned combinations of drugs used for fever, cold, allergy, and pain. A total of 156 f. C. D. (fixed-dose combination) has been banned. The Union Health Ministry claims that the combination of these drugs can have adverse health effects.

What is FDC?

It may be noted that FDC drugs are also called cocktail drugs, which are made by mixing more than one drug. Many compounds manufactured by the country's leading pharma companies have been banned.


Which popular drugs are banned?

This list includes aciclofenac 50 mg paracetamol 125 mg tablet, mefenamic acid paracetamol injection, cetirizine hcl paracetamol phenylephrine hcl, levocetirizine phenylephrine hcl paracetamol, paracetamol chlorpheniramine maleate, phenylpropanolamine, camilophen dihydrochloride 25 mg paracetamol 3 00 mg included.

These drugs are very popular and are being widely used. These medicines were taken especially for fever, and relief from body aches. Apart from this, multivitamins and antiallergic drugs were also taken.

Apart from this, combinations of paracetamol, tramadol, taurine, and caffeine have also been banned. The government has appealed to people to use alternative medicines instead of these medicines.
