Your 6 habits are proving dangerous for the kidneys, if you are not careful, you may fail!

Harmful Habits for Kidney: There are many important organs in our body. But the kidney is one of those organs that most people do not pay attention to until it goes bad. It is the body's cleaning filter that filters the blood and removes toxic substances and excess water from the body through urine. Apart from this, it performs important functions like controlling blood pressure, maintaining the balance of water and minerals in the body and activating vitamin D. But sometimes some of our common habits cause damage to the kidneys and we are not even aware of it. In such a situation, let's know which habits prove dangerous for the kidneys.

1. Frequent use of painkillers can cause damage

It is common to take NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin for pain, fever or swelling. But taking this medicine continuously or in large quantities reduces blood flow to the kidneys. Due to which the kidneys gradually start deteriorating. In such a situation, if you have any kidney problem, do not take painkillers without consulting a doctor.

2. Excessive salt is also harmful to health

Excessive intake of salt i.e. sodium causes high blood pressure and it damages the kidneys. So do not take salt from above in food. Also avoid using excessive salt. Packaged and junk food also contains high amount of sodium, so try to reduce it.

3. Drinking less water also has an effect on the kidneys

The kidneys need enough water to function. When you drink less water, toxic elements start accumulating in the body. Due to which the pressure on the kidneys increases and the chances of stone formation increase. In such a situation, it is generally considered good to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water throughout the day.

5. Excessive protein intake is also harmful

Consuming protein is good for the body, but excessive protein proves to be harmful. Heavy protein increases the pressure on the kidneys. Due to this, the formation of more protein puts more pressure on the kidneys and the kidneys have to filter more waste. In such a situation, if your kidneys are weak, consume protein only after consulting a doctor.

6. Excessive sugar intake

Excess sugar increases the risk of obesity and diabetes, which is one of the biggest causes of kidney failure. Cold drinks, packaged snacks and things like lassi should also be avoided.
