Because it can be a symptom of Alzheimer's. The number of people suffering from Alzheimer's disease is increasing alarmingly. According to an estimate, one in five senior citizens in India may have Alzheimer's problems by the year 2050. As today (September 21st) is 'Alzheimer's Day', its increasing cases are alarming alarms.


    Alzheimer's problem is seen in people over 60 years of age
    Alzheimer's disease usually occurs in people over the age of 60. But over the past few years, the trend has changed and now people around the age of 50 are also showing symptoms of Alzheimer's.     A geriatric ward was also started as Alzheimer's cases increased

It starts with forgetting something small. People who live a stressful life, have high BP-very diabetes and have a family history of Alzheimer's can develop. '


    If these early symptoms of Alzheimer's are treated early, Alzheimer's can be stopped from progressing. Many people avoid going to the doctor thinking that the problem of forgetfulness will remain in old age but it is not right. It is imperative to consult a doctor even in general symptoms. Given the current situation, it will not be surprising if Alzheimer's patients double in the coming time.


    According to a 2022 study by The Journal of Alzheimer's Association, the prevalence of Alzheimer's in people over the age of 60 is 7.4 percent. By the year 2036, this proportion may increase further. It is estimated that 8.17 lakh people will be affected by dementia in Gujarat by the year 2036.


    There is no full-time neuro physician in civil

    The cases of brain related problems have been increasing continuously for the last few years. But surprisingly, there is no full-time neuro-physician in Asarwa Civil, Ahmedabad, according to civil sources.     Symptoms of Alzheimer's

    How to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's

    • Consuming more nutritious foods like fruits-vegetables-legumes.
    •Exercise for 30 minutes every day.

    • Learn a new language-musical instrument. Play brain games like puzzle-crossword. Giving time to reading books, writing articles, writing poetry.

    •Senior citizens should meet as many people as possible daily rather than living a lonely life. One can also join any hobby class.

    • Control blood pressure-diabetes-heart problems.

    •Do yoga-meditation. Spend time in nature.

    • Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day.
